Everybody,
I seldom speak out like this, but because of recent events, I can no longer stay silent.
There’s a cultural rot growing here in America.
One I believe it is our obligation to confront, so that this great experiment begun by our Founders centuries ago is not completely wasted.
You know what I’m about to say.
I’m talking, of course, about The Borowitz Report clogging up my New Yorker feed with lazy, bias confirmation that wouldn’t make it past The Onion if the office water cooler were spiked with laxative and the building super had to assume emergency editorial powers.
Dear friends, we're talking about the magazine that published Woody Allen’s essay about suicide by inhalation next to an insurance salesman…the who literally wrote the book on style was a contributor...

Good one. When I think of all the forced, “Hey I hate Trump too!” laughter that must be rippling through the nation’s atmosphere because of this garbage, it’s no wonder my wi-fi signal never reaches the kitchen.
I know Borowitz makes fun of people you don’t like. But both sides can play at the “lowering your standards because it feels good” game.
That’s what brought us here in the first place.
